On October 31, we answered questions based on the poem we read during our last meeting in class. At the end of the class, I could see that being able to analyse the poem the last timed helped me a lot in answering the questions provided for us in class today.I was able to explain my point and was also able to make some type of connection before answering the question provided on the sheet.

On October 30,we analyzed a poem in class by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. The poem was titled Constantly Risking Absurdity. We came up with themes and were broke down the poem to understand what each word meant and what the message of the poem was about. At the end of the lesson,I was able to understand what some words meant in a poem and also what it meant in a real world.I was also able to derive themes from a poem.

On October 27,we continued with the presentation we couldn't complete the last period. We also brought out the sheet we wrote themes and things we learnt from other groups poems. We then began to continue with the presentation we started the last time we met and we then wrote down some themes and personal connections we can make with the poems. At the end of the lesson that day,I was able to get a better understanding of how to derive themes from a poem and also how to summarize it.I also learnt how vocabularies used in the poem means and what it represents.

On October 26 when we got to class,we were told to get our presentation ready by our teacher so we did so and then we began the presentation.the period was a one and a half hour period so some groups started to present their work.We couldn't finish the presentation on that day because each group took about 25 minutes to present their work.We were also told to take a sheet of paper and write the theme of the poem each group presented and also three things we can learn from the poem. By the end of the period,I was able to come up with themes from a poem and also a personal connection from the poem.

On October 13,We were given to passages and told to take a sheet of paper to write claims on the passage we were about to read.We were then told to write Analysis promt on our paper and we were told to write down things that a person cannot say but rather a comedian can. After writing those down, our teacher said we should write a agreement and a disagreement claim for the passage we read.
