 On November 28, we read a play by August Wilson and before we started reading the play,our teacher chose some students and gave them a role to do in the play. The rest of the class were audiences and were given a sheet and was told to list down interesting quotes and also the key events from the play we read that day.The audience were then told to describe the characters that they come across while’s the play was in session and also told to summarize the play we read that day.

 On November 27, we started a new unit and in this unit we are reading a play called Fences.The play was written by August Wilson in the 1950s. We talked about why people make fences and some of the class said fences are made to set boundaries,protection and also the disadvantages of them. We said one can run into them and also can keep you from getting somewhere in case of emergencies.

 

 On November 13, our teacher was not around but he left us an exercise to do on the story we read during our last meeting.

 On November 10,we continued with the story reading and were able to complete the whole story.We were then asked questions about the names of characters and what we learnt from the story,etc.We were selected randomly to answer some questions and others was general questions. Reflection Summary:I learnt that our parents always have a reason for being strict on us and also prevents us from going or doing certain things. 

 On November 9, we read a story in class but before doing so we were told to take a sheet of paper and describe what our neighborhood was like and how difficult or easy it was to live there.After writing a paragraph about our neighborhood,some of the students were selected randomly to share what they wrote.After doing so,we began to read the story. Reflection Summary:I was able to know which types of areas people grew up in and how hard it was to live in their neighborhood.

 On November 6, we presented our poems we wrote in front of the class.Each student was to read his or her poem to the whole class and also tell the whole class the theme of the poem, Reflection summary:I was able to hear some of my classmates wonderful and sweet poems they wrote.

 On November 3, when we got to class we were told to take our Chromebook out for a test.The test was based on poems and it was a multiple choice test.The test took the whole lesson for the class to complete. Reflection Summary: I was able to answer questions based on poems and also how to answer a question when set from a poem.

 

 On November 2,we were told to write a poem in class and also make a theme out of the poem,give a title to the poem and also the poem should include Alliteration,Personification,Metaphor,Simile,Imagery and Hyperbole. At the end of the lesson,I was able to write a poem including all mentioned above.
